The Bertha Centre for Social Innovation and Entrepreneurship (Bertha Centre)

The Bertha Centre at the University of Cape Town’s Graduate School of Business (GSB) was established in 2011 as the first academic centre in Africa dedicated to supporting social innovation through research, teaching and dialogue. Its core purpose is to share accumulated experience as a starting point for designing and delivering solutions to social problems. The ICSF is an invaluable source of research and thought leadership in the field of social franchising.
